Toka Sticks Golf Club is an 18 hole public golf course located in Mesa, Arizona. This is the former Williams Air Force Base Golf Course and is located 5 miles south of US 60 at the intersection of Power and Williams Field Road.
The course, which was previously named Williams Golf Course, had nine holes that were originally built around 1945 by the Corps of Engineers as part of the Air Force Base The newest 9 was built by the Air Force in 1982. This nine was designed by Leo Johnson.
The course has been open to the public since December of 1993.
The course plays to 6,700 yards from the longest tees. Large trees and narrow fairways mean that a premium is placed on staying down the middle.

The course has experienced a marked improvement over the last couple years. Cart paths have been extended and improved, most tee boxes have been leveled and expanded and the greens are now in the best shape ever. It's refreshing to see the management's investing some of the greens fees back into the course!

I found this an exceptional deal. I am a little better than a duffer but I truly enjoyed the hell out of this course. I believe there has been some recent upgrades that added to the quality of the round. The greens were like lightning, and that was BEFORE they put them into condition for qualifying for the Phoenix Open. I will definitely play this course again. The Toka Sticks Card is a consideration for longer stays than the 6 weeks we were there.
